Mary L. Russell, Senior Counsel, received her law degree, cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was an editor of the American Criminal Law Review. She worked on Capitol Hill in Washington before and during law school. Ms. Russell received her undergraduate education at Kalamazoo College, majoring in French.

Since joining FKB in 2001, Ms. Russell has focused on complex litigation, including a wide variety of antitrust and consumer protection class actions on behalf of plaintiffs. Her earlier experience includes representing defendants and plaintiffs in commercial, environmental, and employment matters as an associate at Winthrop, Stimson, Putman & Roberts (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman) in New York and Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll in Philadelphia.

Ms. Russell has actively participated in the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Advancing Civics Education (A.C.E.) program since its launch in 2008. A.C.E. brings teams of volunteer lawyers and judges into Philadelphia public school classrooms, with each team presenting up to eight interactive civics and dispute resolution lessons each academic year. Ms. Russell is or has been a team leader, instructor, lesson planner, and member of the coordinating committee.
