  • $1.5 Billion Consumer Protection Settlement

    FKB’s Roberta Liebenberg served as chair of the Plaintiffs’ Settlement Committee in In re Philips Recalled CPAP, Bi-Level PAP, and Mechanical Ventilator Products Litigation, which involved defective foam in millions of recalled sleep-apnea machines and ventilators. The case settled for over $1.5 billion.

  • Groundbreaking Products Liability Litigation

    The firm currently serves as liaison counsel for the plaintiffs in In re Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists (GLP-1 RAS) Products Liability Litigation, in which plaintiffs allege they suffered gastrointestinal injury stemming from their use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, including Ozempic and Wegovy.

  • Chevy Bolt Battery Litigation

    FKB filed complaints on behalf of two named plaintiffs in this case alleging that Chevrolet Bolt cars were manufactured and sold with defective batteries that cause fires. The court has preliminarily approved a $150 million settlement.

In re Philips Recalled CPAP, Bi-Level PAP, and Mechanical Ventilator Products Litigation

The Honorable Joy Flowers Conti of the Western District of Pennsylvania appointed FKB’s Roberta Liebenberg to serve as chair of the Plaintiffs’ Settlement Committee in this case involving defective foam in millions of recalled sleep-apnea machines and ventilators. FKB also played a critical role in briefing and discovery. Ultimately, the case settled for over $1.5 billion.

 

In re Juul Labs, Inc. Marketing, Sales Practices & Products Liability Litigation

Working with co-counsel, FKB handled class discovery and class certification briefing in this multidistrict litigation involving allegations that defendant Juul Labs., Inc. marketed its nicotine products to attract minors. The case settled for $300 million.

In re Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists (GLP-1 RAS) Products Liability Litigation

FKB’s Roberta Liebenberg currently serves as liaison counsel for the plaintiffs in this case alleging gastrointestinal injury stemming from plaintiffs’ use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, including Ozempic and Wegovy.

In re Navistar Maxxforce Engines Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation

The firm represented purchasers of commercial trucks in this class action alleging breach of warranty, deceptive conduct, and related claims against an engine manufacturer. The case settled for $135 million.
