($36 million settlement for end payers of an illegally monopolized prescription drug); Parsky v. First Union Corp., No. 771, Feb. Term 2001 (C.C.P. Phila. Cty.) ($23 million settlement for trust customers of a bank; largest recovery in a common trust fund conversion case). In addition, Mr. Istvan served as one of the lead counsel to a group of large purchasers of copper in In re Copper Antitrust Litigation, 528 F. Supp. 2d 908 (W.D. Wis. 2007), a complex antitrust case alleging futures market manipulation that settled favorably for a confidential sum on the eve of trial. He also successfully defended one of the principal officers of a large healthcare provider in complex litigation arising out of the provider’s bankruptcy in In re Allegheny Health, Education and Research Foundation.

Outside the office, Mr. Istvan is a musician and a youth sports coach.
