Steel Antitrust Litigation

Chicago, IL (September 12, 2008): Fine, Kaplan and Black, R.P.C. and Kellogg, Huber, Hansen, Todd, Evans and Figel, P.L.L.C., as the leaders of a group of lawyers representing a Pennsylvania steel purchaser and a putative nationwide class of steel purchasers, have filed a federal class action lawsuit against eight domestic steel companies. The lawsuit alleges a conspiracy to inflate the market price for steel and seeks relief under the antitrust laws on behalf of manufacturers, fabricators, contractors and other purchasers of steel who allegedly were injured by the conspiracy.
